Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dean Poole (ranked 6358 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiger Man (ranked 7927 p4p, 0 weight class). Tiger Man is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dean Poole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tiger Man! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poole clinches up against the cage. Man taking a breather. Man throws a head punch that misses. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Poole misses with a knee to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Man turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Poole really is a fat lump. Poole is trying to control Man's posture but Man avoids it. Man in side control, throwing shots but Poole defends. Poole is trying to control Man's posture but Man avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Man is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Poole has escaped the position, nice work there. Poole might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Poole is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Man's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Poole is looking for a sweep. Man is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Poole is trying to stand.
Poole controlling the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Man shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Man was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Man decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Man tries to clinch up but Poole circles away and keeps his distance. Poole looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Poole drops his hands momentarily and Man takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Man looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Poole! Poole bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Man looks winded! Man scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Poole desperately trying to maintain half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Man wants to stand up but Poole manages to regain full guard. Poole has control of Man's left arm, preventing Man from doing any damage. Man must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Man trying to control but Poole is working from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Poole pulls Man in to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tiger Man dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Man looking to score a takedown here. Poole is defending well but Man drives through and ends up in Poole's guard. Poole has control of Man's left arm, preventing Man from doing any damage. Poole's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Man drops back, looking for a kneebar! Poole looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Poole looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Poole!
Man is breathing heavily. Poole gets to mount! Man was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poole tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Man tries to get back to half guard but can't. Man is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Poole controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Poole has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Further stalling from Poole.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poole prevents Man from getting the reversal. Poole takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Dean Poole overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. This is a sustained period of stalling by Poole. Man tries to get back to half guard but can't. Poole controlling his opponent. Man can't escape the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Man wants to try and get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dean Poole dominated that second round. That's time! Poole's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Man is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Poole's half guard. Poole keeping hold of Man's head, controlling as best he can. Man thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Poole's head. Poole is holding on to half guard well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Man takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poole is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Man is tapping! Great win for Poole!
