Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thor Hammer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Herman Botha!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Botha moves away.
Botha avoids the body shot from Hammer.
Botha uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hammer.
Botha has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hammer is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Botha misses with an uppercut
and Hammer counters with a right hand to the body.
Nice sprawl there from Hammer as Botha shoots in.
Botha with a poor takedown
and Hammer counters with a stiff right hand.
Botha darts in looking for a takedown but Hammer gets double underhooks and turns Botha into the cage.
It looked like Hammer wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Thor Hammer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Herman Botha.
Hammer ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Hammer throws out a powerful jab.
Hammer lands a jab to Botha's midsection.
Botha shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hammer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Botha shoots in for a takedown but Hammer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hammer cracks Botha with an open hand slap.
It looks like Herman Botha has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Botha misses with a takedown attempt

Botha with a lazy takedown attempt
and Hammer counters with a huge left! Botha is in big trouble! He's backing up but Hammer isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Botha from any more damage. A dominating finish by Hammer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thor Hammer!
A less than humble Thor Hammer misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
