Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Numbers Carter (ranked 25273 p4p, 0 weight class) and Power Max (ranked 25372 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Numbers Carter has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Numbers Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Power Max! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter clinches. A head punch on the inside from Max fails to land. Carter wants a takedown.
A battle for position here, against the cage. Carter goes for a takedown attempt but Max pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Carter has closed the distance and engaged Max in a clinch.
Carter wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Numbers Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carter can't get the takedown.
Max drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Max closes the distance and pushes Carter back into the cage. Carter breaks the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter throws a combination that misses and Max counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carter is trying to get back to full guard. Max keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Max looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Max postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Carter to stand up. Carter shoots and misses and Max counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Carter has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Max is on him like a limpet, forcing Carter back against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Carter lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Carter is breathing heavily. Max wants to improve his position but Carter is controlling well.
Max wants to control but Carter is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Max has one foot on Carter's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Max moves into range and clinches up with Carter. Carter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Max dives in for a single leg takedown but Carter sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. As Max tries to get set, Carter tries to push him back and clinch up but Max manages to avoid the attempt. Max misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Carter throws a low kick but Max avoids it. Carter avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Max misses with a takedown and Carter counters by moving into the clinch. Carter looking for a takedown. Carter pulls guard. Max won't allow Carter to get back to his feet. Max looking to pass the guard. Max in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Max trying to stand up but can't free himself from Carter's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Max controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Carter wants to stand but Max is controlling the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Max looking to sit in guard and control but Carter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Carter throwing strikes but missing. Max bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carter's guard. Carter controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Numbers Carter will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Max throws a leg kick but Carter moved away. Carter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Max. Max lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carter circles away quickly and effectively. Carter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Max sprawls well. Max wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Carter gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter tries to sprawl but Max drives through with a takedown into half guard. Carter manages to escape and get back to his feet!
That's one minute gone in the round. Max moves into the clinch. Carter is working for takedown but Max is calmly controlling the position for now. Carter successfully pulls guard.
Max tries to free his leg and advance position but Carter is retaining full guard. Numbers Carter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Max is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Max is breathing heavily. Max trying to control but Carter is working from the bottom. Max stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Max is controlling him. Max wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Max takes the fight into the clinch. Max drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Carter gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Max tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Carter just stands there and leans against the cage. Numbers Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Power Max. Carter drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Max gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Carter ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Carter no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Carter uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Max fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carter avoids it really well and circles away. Numbers Carter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Carter fails with the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A clash of legs there as Max blocks the low kick. Carter shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Max eats them both and turns towards Carter to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Max should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Carter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Max. As Max looks to move away, Carter throws a big counter combo but Max just gets out of the way. Carter has closed the distance and engaged Max in a clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carter has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Max uses from the top position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Max. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Numbers Carter dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Carter closes this distance looking for a takedown but Max circles away. Max tries to score a power double leg takedown but Carter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Max somewhat. Max shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Carter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Max gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Carter to score an easy takedown into full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Max throws up his legs and catches Carter in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Carter tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Max! That came out of nowhere!
