Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chang Blake (ranked 25178 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Abedayo (ranked 5329 p4p, 0 weight class). Sam Abedayo has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Chang Blake's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chang Blake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sam Abedayo! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abedayo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Blake has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Abedayo is on him like a limpet, forcing Blake back against the cage. Blake goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Abedayo manages to break the clinch.
Blake tries for a takedown but Abedayo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Abedayo has taken the fight to the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Abedayo has Blake pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Abedayo pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Blake tumbling to the mat - Abedayo dives into Blake's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Abedayo's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abedayo stands and steps away. Blake gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Abedayo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Blake quickly recovers to half guard. Blake really is a fat lump. Abedayo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Blake knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Blake is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Abedayo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Abedayo's back! Abedayo turns into Blake and is now in his guard.
Abedayo sitting in guard here, content to control. Blake might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Abedayo stands up from Blake's guard - Abedayo perhaps looking for a knockout. Abedayo closes the distance and clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Abedayo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Abedayo looking to score a takedown here. Blake is defending well but Abedayo drives through and ends up in Blake's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Blake being controlled here, momentarily. Abedayo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Abedayo content to stall in guard here. Blake is trying to keep Abedayo in close.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Abedayo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Abedayo throws a big elbow that misses.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Abedayo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Abedayo drives through and clinches with Blake against the cage.

Abedayo drives through with a takedown into Blake's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Abedayo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Abedayo is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Abedayo stays in close to Blake's body and controls the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Abedayo postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Abedayo controls the pace of the fight for a moment. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Abedayo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Abedayo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Abedayo stands up and waves to Blake to follow him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Abedayo dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Blake wants to clinch. Abedayo tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Abedayo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Blake napping and manages to drive through into side control! Abedayo decides to stand back up. Abedayo throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Abedayo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Blake is trying to defend but Abedayo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Well, if Abedayo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abedayo is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Blake! In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Abedayo working his ground and pound in the gym. Abedayo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Blake's face.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Abedayo sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Abedayo jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Blake manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blake is working to avoid the ground and pound but Abedayo connects with a decent elbow. Abedayo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Blake has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Abedayo but great work by Blake. Abedayo is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Abedayo is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Blake off and has taken his back! Abedayo connects with a big shot to the side of Blake's head.
This has been an exciting period of action! Blake grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Abedayo biding his time, looking for the opening.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Blake is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Abedayo really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Blake. Blake is having to fend off submission attempts from Abedayo, who is looking to sink in the choke. Abedayo doesn't have the hooks in though and Blake manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard. Abedayo keeping moving, preventing Blake from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Abedayo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Abedayo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Abedayo tries to land a sweep but no joy. Abedayo is pulling down on Blake's head. It's preventing any offense from Blake, at least for the moment. Sam Abedayo has got the better of the ground game so far. Abedayo has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Blake has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Abedayo slowing the pace effectively. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Abedayo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Blake's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Abedayo drives through with a takedown into Blake's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Blake has his feet on Abedayo's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Blake blocks a leg kick. Abedayo has taken the fight to the clinch.
Blake is looking to break free of the clinch but Abedayo has double underhooks. Abedayo gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Blake regains guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Blake is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Abedayo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Blake is working an open guard so Abedayo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Chang Blake is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Abedayo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Blake doesn't seem bothered though. Abedayo misses with a two punch combination.
Sam Abedayo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blake is trying hard to land a takedown here. Abedayo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abedayo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Blake manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Abedayo chips away with some ground and pound. Abedayo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Blake is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Abedayo, into his guard. Abedayo managing to control the position. Abedayo has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Blake is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Abedayo lands a takedown into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Abedayo gets to his feet. Blake looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Abedayo moves into the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Abedayo tightens his grip and picks Blake up, before dumping him to the ground. Blake manages to land in guard. Blake avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Abedayo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Blake's head. Abedayo's corner is telling him to maintain position. Abedayo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Blake is working an open guard so Abedayo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Abedayo takes the fight into the clinch. Abedayo lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Abedayo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Abedayo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Blake's head. Abedayo stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Abedayo escapes and gets back to his feet. Abedayo has closed the distance and engaged Blake in a clinch.
Abedayo has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Blake is trying to keep an underhook but Abedayo manages to get the takedown into half guard. Blake trying to hold on to Abedayo's head to control him but Abedayo postures up.
Abedayo slows the pace down in half guard. Abedayo stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Blake to get to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Sam Abedayo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Abedayo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Sam Abedayo! In his post fight interview, Sam Abedayo started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
