The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Kuznetcov 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Kuznetcov misses with a takedown attempt - Shreve Jr sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Shreve Jr throws out a counter right but Kuznetcov avoids it with no problem.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Shreve Jr enables Kuznetcov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shreve Jr manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Shreve Jr pulls Kuznetcov in close to prevent any damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shreve Jr can do anything to dispel that myth.
Shreve Jr wants to sweep but no luck.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kuznetcov dives in for a single leg takedown but Shreve Jr sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Shreve Jr connects with a leg kick. Kuznetcov looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrey Kuznetcov dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It looks like Andrey Kuznetcov has been cut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Shreve Jr drops Kuznetcov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kuznetcov looks back up at him and smiles so Shreve Jr waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Kuznetcov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Larry Shreve Jr seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kuznetcov drops his hands momentarily and Shreve Jr needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Kuznetcov just on the top of the head. Kuznetcov drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Kuznetcov - he's done!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Larry Shreve Jr!
Larry Shreve Jr is the new heavyweight champion!
A relieved looking Larry Shreve Jr thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
