6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lee Mtagwa! The judges for this bout are , and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drago slips under a jab. Drago gets in close and instigates a clinch. Mtagwa on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Mtagwa is looking to break free of the clinch but Drago has double underhooks. Drago unloads a knee to the mid-section. Mtagwa lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Drago prevents Mtagwa from breaking the clinch. Drago misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Mtagwa.
Drago creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Mtagwa's defenses. Mtagwa tries to break the clinch but Drago is controlling the position. Drago prevents Mtagwa from breaking the clinch. Mtagwa wants to break free but Drago has control.
Drago throws an elbow but it misses.
Drago throws a head punch that misses. Drago connects with a knee to the head.
Drago misses with an elbow strike.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Drago just misses with a elbow thrown towards Mtagwa's brow. Mtagwa is looking to break free of the clinch but Drago has double underhooks. Drago prevents Mtagwa from breaking the clinch. Drago throws an elbow but it misses.
Mtagwa is leaning against Drago and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Drago can't find room to land a body shot as Mtagwa controls the action.

Mtagwa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drago moves out of range of the strikes. Drago throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mtagwa's waist but Mtagwa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Drago off to one side. Drago shoots in for a takedown but Mtagwa shows good takedown defense. Drago walks into a straight right hand from Mtagwa. Mtagwa lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Vladamir Drago has been cut. Mtagwa looks gassed! Mtagwa misses with a few strikes there.
Mtagwa lands a jab to the nose. Drago fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vladamir Drago. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mtagwa fails to land with a series of punches.
Drago uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mtagwa. The fight stays on the outside here - Drago looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mtagwa misses with an uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Mtagwa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mtagwa throws a nice looking combination but Drago bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Drago tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Drago bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Drago looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Drago fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Drago is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mtagwa knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Drago thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. I wouldn't like to be where Mtagwa is right now. Drago is trying to get an arm triangle but Mtagwa is defending well. Drago throws an elbow but Mtagwa slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Drago thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Mtagwa is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Drago tries for a kimura but Mtagwa is defending well. Drago is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mtagwa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vladamir Drago dominated that round. The cut man is working on Vladamir Drago's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mtagwa takes a swing at Drago's ribcage but misses. Mtagwa throws a body punch but Drago moves out of range. Drago tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mtagwa swivels and escapes. Mtagwa misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Drago.
Mtagwa throws a shot from downtown. Drago moves away and avoids it. Mtagwa lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Mtagwa lands a jab to Drago's midsection. Mtagwa throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Drago shoots in but Mtagwa avoids the takedown attempt easily. Mtagwa throws a left that rocks Drago and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Mtagwa dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Drago regain composure!
Drago is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Mtagwa stands up and beckons Drago to his feet. Mtagwa connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Drago! He's out on his feet! Mtagwa rushes in and drops Drago with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Lee Mtagwa!
