Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phil Aylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harvey Pekar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pekar has chosen Dead Joe, by The Birthday Party as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phil Aylor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Harvey Pekar! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pekar fails to land with a series of punches.
A swing and a miss from Aylor. Aylor is looking to slow Pekar down with leg kicks. Decent striking displayed by Aylor there.
It looks like Harvey Pekar has been cut. Pekar tries to bum rush Aylor with a series of wild strikes but Aylor uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pekar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Aylor as he avoids it easily. Aylor pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Pekar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Aylor. Pekar fails with the takedown. Some wild striking there from Pekar.
Aylor is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pekar. A combination from Pekar does no damage. Pekar tries for a takedown but Aylor sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Phil Aylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harvey Pekar. Aylor throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
That's one minute gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pekar. Pekar looks gassed! Pekar fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pekar shoots in and drives through. Aylor sprawls well. Aylor throws a chopping leg kick but Pekar manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Aylor connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Pekar gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Aylor. Aylor tries a low kick but Pekar avoids it. Aylor dips down and scores with a jab to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Aylor scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pekar doesn't seem bothered though. Phil Aylor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pekar on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Aylor. Aylor obviously looking to wear him down.
Aylor motions for Pekar to come forward. Aylor throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A left lands for Aylor.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pekar takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Pekar blocks a jab. A shot to the body from Pekar misses and Aylor counters with a nice body shot. Aylor with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

That has opened up Harvey Pekar's cut even more. A slapping leg kick lands for Aylor.

Aylor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pekar has his takedown stuffed letting Aylor counter with a right hand. Aylor misses with a low kick. Aylor scores with a nice strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pekar takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Pekar doesn't succeed with the takedown and Aylor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Aylor scores with a nice head shot. Pekar is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Aylor. A right-left combo lands from Aylor.
Pekar is rocked!
The cut above Harvey Pekar's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Aylor works Pekar's body with a nice hook. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Aylor lands a jab to the nose. Pekar walks forward, straight into a front kick from Aylor. Aylor throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Aylor throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Pekar gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aylor connects with a body shot. Nice straight punches there by Aylor. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Aylor. Aylor works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. A jab lands there for Aylor. Harvey Pekar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Aylor stuffs the takedown. Aylor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pekar is trying desperately to land a takedown but Aylor is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Pekar. Pekar tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Aylor counters with a lovely straight right hand! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pekar keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phil Aylor dominated that round. The cut man is working on Harvey Pekar's cut. That's time! Aylor's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Pekar throws a right and a left that both miss. Pekar lands a nice shot to the body.
Pekar has his takedown stuffed and Pekar takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Pekar throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Aylor is looking to slow Pekar down with leg kicks. Aylor lands with a nice body kick. Aylor looks to throw the jab but Pekar is out of range. Pekar slips a straight right by Aylor. Aylor cracks a nice hook into Pekar's ribs. Aylor lands a head kick. Pekar smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pekar has a takedown stuffed.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aylor throws a hook to the side of Pekar's head but Pekar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Pekar shoots in but Aylor avoids the takedown attempt easily. Phil Aylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harvey Pekar. Pekar looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Aylor throws a body kick that misses. Pekar throws a left and a right that both miss
and Aylor counters with a thumping low kick. A nice leg kick lands there from Aylor. Pekar slips under a jab from Aylor. Pekar blocks the body kick.
Pekar with a poor takedown and Aylor counters with a leg kick. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Pekar might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Aylor has got the better of the exchanges.

Pekar has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Aylor finds it's way round the side to connect with Pekar's head. Aylor throws a nice outside leg kick. Aylor looks to throw the jab but Pekar is out of range. A combination from Pekar does no damage. Pekar has his takedown stuffed and Aylor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Pekar checks a leg kick. Aylor misses with a kick to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Aylor takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Pekar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Pekar thows a huge punch but Aylor dodges it nicely.

Pekar missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Pekar looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pekar not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Aylor kicks Pekar off and gets back to his feet. Pekar fails with the takedown and Aylor counters with a nice body shot. Harvey Pekar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Aylor dips down and scores with a jab to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aylor ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Pekar is looking to clinch. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pekar. Phil Aylor is winning the standup battle so far. Pekar moves out of range as Aylor strikes. Aylor scores with a nice body kick.
Pekar chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Aylor can pounce on him.

That's one minute gone in the round. Danga de danga de dang - Aylor scores with a four punch combination! Aylor lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Pekar fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Pekar keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Aylor throws a front kick aimed at Pekar's knee but Pekar avoids it well. Aylor lets loose with a powerful body kick. Pekar will feel that in the morning. Aylor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Pekar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Aylor counters with a head kick. That will keep Pekar thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Phil Aylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harvey Pekar. Aylor throws a lazy right hand but Pekar sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aylor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Pekar has his takedown stuffed and Aylor counters with a straight right hand. Aylor pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pekar is out of range and Aylor settles back down. Pekar tries for a takedown but Aylor circles away easily and Aylor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Pekar has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Aylor. Pekar is looking to clinch but Aylor is avoiding it.
Jab, jab by Aylor - just one landing. Aylor with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A decent looking cross lands there for Aylor. Pekar gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Aylor cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aylor lands a jab to the nose. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Aylor.

Pekar doesn't succeed with the takedown and Aylor counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Phil Aylor is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Aylor feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Pekar's calf. The judges will like that one. Harvey Pekar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Aylor connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Pekar swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Aylor counters with a nice body shot. Aylor lands with a nice body punch. Aylor lands with a kick to the ribs.
Aylor connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Pekar momentarily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pekar misses with a takedown attempt and Aylor counters with a stiff right hand. Aylor scores with a nice strike. Pekar throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Aylor counter with a right hand.
And that's the end of the fight! Phil Aylor showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Aylor, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
