Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between De Bruyne (ranked 84 p4p, 8 weight class) and Da Skrumbo (ranked 75 p4p, 7 weight class). Bruyne comes to the cage accompanied by Busta Rhymes - Other Side Of The Road . Skrumbo is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: It's a fight!!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruyne misses with an uppercut. Skrumbo saw that one coming.
Bruyne waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Skrumbo .
Bruyne throws a hook to the side of Skrumbo 's head but Skrumbo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bruyne connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Bruyne checks the leg kick nicely there.
Bruyne throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Skrumbo getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Skrumbo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A little feinted left hand from Bruyne on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bruyne shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Bruyne wants to control from the top but Skrumbo keeps moving.

Skrumbo wants to stand but Bruyne is controlling the position.

Skrumbo has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at DOG HOUSE!!. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Skrumbo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bruyne controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bruyne sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Skrumbo 's guard.
Skrumbo looks like he's trying to stand up.
Bruyne is keen to just control but Skrumbo is a slippery customer.
Skrumbo is trying to stand up here but Bruyne is controlling him well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

and Skrumbo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Skrumbo let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Skrumbo stuns Bruyne with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Skrumbo throws a solid leg kick but Bruyne takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Skrumbo .
Skrumbo just misses with a punch to the body.
Bruyne ducks under a wild hook from Skrumbo .
Bruyne was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Skrumbo throws a shot from downtown. Bruyne moves away and avoids it.
Skrumbo moves out of range of the strikes.
Bruyne moves in looking to clinch but Skrumbo pushes him off.
Bruyne ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bruyne is looking to counter punch.
Bruyne fails with a takedown attempt.
Bruyne bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Skrumbo 's head backwards.
A lazy left from Skrumbo finds it's target.
Bruyne uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Skrumbo .
Bruyne tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Bruyne gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Skrumbo counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's four minutes gone in the round.

Bruyne takes one to the chin there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Skrumbo tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Bruyne catches Skrumbo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Skrumbo is rocked!
Skrumbo looks to land a right hand but Bruyne moved out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as Bruyne checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
The fighters circle, before Bruyne throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Skrumbo 's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Bruyne lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). De Bruyne!
Post fight, De Bruyne stared into the camera and said 'Peel Steel, you absolutely suck'.
Da Skrumbo was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll be back!'.
