The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Roman - that will leave a mark!
Roman feints a jab promting Pending to slip. Roman then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pending slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Roman misses with a combination
and Pending counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Pending is working for a submission of some sort.
Roman is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pending pulls his head out easily.
Pending is trying to control. Roman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Pending is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Roman sees it coming and defends easily.

Pending is looking for a kimura but Roman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pending to get the leverage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Roman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pending defends well.

Roman is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Pending frees his head nicely. Oh but Roman has switched to an armbar! Pending is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
