The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Hayworth or perhaps it was just good defense by Sanford, which made it look bad.
It looked like Sanford wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Sanford closes the distance and clinches.
Sanford misses with a body punch.
Hayworth swings wildly with an uppercut but Sanford uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hayworth blocks an uppercut.

Hayworth pulls Sanford into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee asks Sanford politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Sanford prefers to stall for the moment though.
Hayworth stops Sanford from passing to mount.
Sanford advances nicely into full mount.

Hayworth has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Sanford looking to break Hayworth's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hayworth remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Sanford will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Sanford is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Hayworth won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Sanford off his unconscious opponent!
