The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miles drives through and clinches with Hot Rod against the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Hot Rod throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Miles drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hot Rod gets the underhooks and prevents it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Miles stands and steps away. Hot Rod gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Hot Rod fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

and Miles takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Oh Miles is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hot Rod moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Miles gets tackled into the cage by Hot Rod. Hot Rod maintains the clinch.

Miles tries to land a knee to the head but Hot Rod blocks with his arms.
Miles is trying to push Hot Rod away but Hot Rod has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Miles's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Hot Rod's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Miles moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Miles gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hot Rod counters with a crisp one two that drops Miles! Hot Rod thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Miles to his feet! Miles is in big trouble!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Miles throws a right and a left that Hot Rod avoids nicely.
Hot Rod avoids the head kick by Miles.
Hot Rod cracks Miles on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Miles falls backwards against the cage. Hot Rod follows up with more strikes that drop Miles to his knees. Hot Rod keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Miles! This one is all over!
