Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Enrique Guerrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and B J Sherk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Guerrero might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I Lie, I Cheat, I Steal. Sherk has chosen E Ala E as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sherk fails with an attempt to clinch.
Guerrero darts in trying to clinch
and Sherk counters with an inside leg kick.
Sherk connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Guerrero misses with an uppercut.

Guerrero scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Sherk scores with a nice strike.
Guerrero misses with a shot to the body
and Sherk counters with a slapping leg kick.

Sherk lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

and Sherk counters with a nice kick to the body.

Sherk clinches with his opponent.

It looks like Enrique Guerrero has been cut.
Guerrero swings wildly with an uppercut but Sherk uses good head movement to avoid it.

Sherk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Sherk wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Guerrero, who protects the arm well.

Sherk stands up.

Sherk closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sherk lands in his opponent's guard.
Sherk must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Guerrero had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sherk is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Guerrero Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sherk's back instead.

Sherk can't escape the position.
Sherk is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Guerrero thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
You can see the frustration on Sherk's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Guerrero doesn't have the hooks in and Sherk manages to turn into his guard.
Sherk has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Guerrero is proving hard to escape from.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sherk misses with a body shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Sherk counters with a single leg into guard. Guerrero didn't expect that.
Guerrero wants to sweep here but Sherk controlling him for the moment.
Guerrero seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Guerrero escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sherk gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

B J Sherk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sherk tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Guerrero throws a hook to the side of Sherk's head but Sherk sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sherk lands a nice looking kick to the body. Guerrero takes a step back to recover.
Guerrero loads up on a big right hand but Sherk slips the punch.
Guerrero throws a shot from downtown. Sherk moves away and avoids it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Guerrero swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Sherk landing knees to the body.
Sherk looking to throw knees to the head but Guerrero is blocking nicely.
Sherk goes for a takedown attempt but Guerrero pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Guerrero is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sherk.

Sherk shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Sherk jumps guard and drags Guerrero to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Sherk throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Sherk has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Guerrero is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Guerrero looks to score with a jab to the body but Sherk is just out of range.

Sherk dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Guerrero. That did some damage!
Guerrero throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Guerrero shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sherk but Sherk pushes him off and we're back to square one.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sherk tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Guerrero swivels and escapes.

and Sherk counters with a nice low kick that buckles Guerrero's knee momentarily.

Guerrero bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Sherk gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Guerrero looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The fighters circling - Guerrero throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Sherk ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sherk has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sherk there as he acknowledges the shot.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Sherk takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Guerrero feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sherk wants to control but Guerrero is keeping him busy.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Sherk connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Guerrero fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sherk feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Guerrero's calf.
Sherk throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sherk buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Guerrero blocks a head kick by Sherk.
A nice leg kick lands there from Sherk.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to B J Sherk.
Well Sherk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
