The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathiew throws a right hand that Robinson ducks under and follows up with a left that Robinson also avoids with ease.
Robinson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Robinson decides to return to a standing position.
Mathiew fails to land with a series of punches.
Robinson moves into range and clinches up with Mathiew.
Mathiew wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Robinson has him pressed against the cage.

Robinson shoots in and bounces Mathiew off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Zack Mathiew seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mathiew throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Robinson checks a leg kick.
Robinson avoids a punch combination nicely.
