Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie G (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Waldo Irby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). G comes to the cage accompanied by Lethal Industry. Eddie G has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Waldo Irby! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Irby bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps G's head backwards. Irby moves out of range of the leg kick from G. Irby rushes G and presses him up against the cage. Irby breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
G throws a series of punches but Irby moves out of range. Irby attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. G throws a shot from downtown. Irby moves away and avoids it. Irby misses with a few strikes there.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Irby closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Irby lands in his opponent's guard. G wants to sweep but no luck. Irby passes G's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Irby is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Irby content to control rather than advance. G tries to kick Irby off but Irby keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Irby is sneakily working for an arm triangle but G sees it coming and defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. G can't keep his opponent in guard - Irby advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. G wants to get back to his feet. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Irby decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. G tries to bum rush Irby with a series of wild strikes but Irby uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Irby throws a head kick that misses. Irby misses with a wild combination.

G clinches but Irby breaks the clinch and Irby counters with a single leg into guard. G didn't expect that. G wants to stand but Irby is controlling the position. Irby stands up and waves to G to follow him. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Irby connects with a looping right hand.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Irby. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Irby. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Irby staying calm. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. G tries to escape but Irby is in control.

G is real pain and he's forced to tap out! G is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Irby couldn't care less - he's delighted!
