Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Beam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson shoots in and drives through. Beam sprawls well.

Jackson drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jackson preventing the sweep.
Beam is looking to stand back up but Jackson counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Beam.
Beam is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Jackson off and has taken his back!
Beam lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Jackson is trying to get back to his feet but Beam has full control of the position and if anything, Jackson has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Beam misses with a punch to the head.
What can Jackson do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beam has good solid back control here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they both work up against the meshing.

Beam's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

so Jackson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Beam has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jackson is just content to waste time from the top position. Beam takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Beam rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jackson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jackson wants to stand up but Beam is controlling him.

Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Beam on the ground.

Beam turns into Jackson and is now in his guard.
Beam wants to pass the guard but Jackson is keeping the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Beam throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jackson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Beam might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jackson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet but Beam is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

I would just about give that final round to Scott Beam.
I think Beam has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
