Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Hudson (ranked 6646 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Burns (ranked 6300 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Burns's choice of entrance music: Kickin' it in Tennessee. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Hudson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Burns! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hudson tries to sprawl but Burns drives through with a takedown into half guard. It looks like Burns is going to stand back up.
Hudson wants to get back to full guard. Hudson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hudson missing with punches from the bottom.
Burns prevents Hudson from standing back up.
Hudson won't allow Burns to pass to mount. Hudson throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hudson is trying to stand.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Burns shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Hudson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burns feints and as Hudson raises his hands in defense, Burns changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Hudson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Hudson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hudson chips away with some ground and pound. Hudson stops Burns from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hudson works over Burns with some ground and pound from guard. Hudson landing strikes. You can see the frustration on Burns's face as Hudson controls the position. Hudson lands some shots froms side control. That's four minutes gone in the round. Hudson lands a decent elbow from side control. Hudson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Burns some visible discomfort.
Burns struggling a bit here. Hudson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Hudson clinches with his opponent.
Hudson tries to land knees in the clinch but Burns avoids the damage to the body. Burns wants to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Hudson dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hudson checks a leg kick nicely. Hudson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Burns, pushing him back against the cage. Hudson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Burns is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Burns tightens his grip and picks Hudson up, before dumping him to the ground. Hudson manages to land in guard. Hudson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hudson wants to stand but Burns is controlling the position. Burns really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hudson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hudson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Burns's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burns wants to sweep here but Hudson controlling him for the moment. Burns working for a triangle but Hudson defends it easily.
Burns is breathing heavily. Burns wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Hudson trying to control the position from guard on top but Burns is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hudson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Burns escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hudson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hudson stands and steps away. Burns gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Burns gets the takedown into side control. Hudson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Burns is controlling him well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burns goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hudson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Burns's guard! Nice work there by Hudson! Hudson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Burns trying to keep a closed guard but Hudson is proving a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hudson distracts Burns with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Burns is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hudson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Hudson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Hudson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hudson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hudson chips away with some ground and pound. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hudson with a nice head shot there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Hudson dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Hudson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Burns controls Hudson momentarily but Hudson frees himself. Hudson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Hudson lands a couple of elbows. Hudson postures up in Burns's guard and throws a big left but Burns blocks it. Hudson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
