Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gordie Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Walker's choice of entrance music: Shut em Down. Gordie Green has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gordie Green! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Walker! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Walker showed some decent athleticism there. Green has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Walker is working away from the top position though. Walker controlling the action here. Walker's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Green is looking to escape. Walker is looking to advance position but Green won't allow it. Green is trying to maintain the position but Walker is very close to passing his half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's one minute gone in the round. Walker is working for a submission of some sort.
Green tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Walker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Green swivels and escapes. Green tries to clinch there but Walker circles away.
Green shoots in and drives through. Walker sprawls well. Walker decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Walker is thwarting Green's attempts to control the position. Green is refusing to be controlled, as Walker sits in half guard. Green might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Green trying to control but Walker postures up.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Walker with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Walker looks gassed! Green trying to control but Walker postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Green is looking for a sweep. Walker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Green trying to control from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Walker misses with a takedown and Green counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Walker's guard now. Green stands up over Walker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Green drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Green jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Green drops back looking for a leg! Walker is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Walker manages to kick Green off! Green jumps back into Walker's guard. Walker controls Green momentarily but Green frees himself. Green works over Walker with some ground and pound from guard. Walker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Green. Green trying to control but Walker is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green stopping the sweep attempt from Walker.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Walker gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Green counters with a lovely straight right hand! Gordie Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Walker. Green lands with a hook. Walker tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Walker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Green darts in and clinches Walker up against the ropes. Green changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Walker fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Green scores with a takedown into Walker's guard. Green lands a couple of digs. Green throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Walker works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Walker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Green won't allow Walker to get back to his feet. Green drops back looking for a leg! Walker is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Walker manages to kick Green off! Green jumps back into Walker's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Green seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Walker controls Green momentarily but Green frees himself. Green postures up in Walker's guard and throws a big left but Walker blocks it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Green shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Green distracts Walker with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Green won't allow Walker to sweep him here. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Green lands a couple of elbows. Green has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Green accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Green's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Green drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Green jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Walker keeping moving, preventing Green from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gordie Green dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Walker has closed the distance and engaged Green in a clinch.
Walker tries to pull guard but Green won't allow it.
Green tightens his grip and picks Walker up, before dumping him to the ground. Walker manages to land in guard. Walker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Green can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Walker has momentary wrist control but Green slips an elbow through the middle. Green postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Walker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Walker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Green. Green tries to free his leg and advance position but Walker is retaining full guard. Green trying to control but Walker is working from the bottom. Green wants to pass the guard but Walker is keeping the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Green closes the distance and lands a one-two. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker with a poor takedown and Green holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Walker prevents a takedown attempt there.

Green tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gordie Green. That's going to take a lot out of him. Green tries for a takedown. No joy.
Walker wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Green has him pressed against the ropes. Walker is trying to drag Green to the mat but Green just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. Walker pulls guard. Green cracks Walker with a solid left hand. Walker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Green fails with the takedown and Walker counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Walker has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Green avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Green leaning his opponent against the ropes. Walker is working for takedown but Green is calmly controlling the position for now. Green is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Walker gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Walker is trying to drag Green to the mat but Green just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. Bobby Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walker wants to clinch but Green slips to the side and Green counters with a nice double leg into guard. Walker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Walker pulls Green in close to prevent any damage. Green lands a couple of decent looking shots. Walker has his hands on Green's head, controlling the position. Green showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Green stands up over Walker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walker can do anything to dispel that myth. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Green wants to stand but Walker has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Green stopping the sweep attempt from Walker. Walker working a defensive guard here.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Green scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Green feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Green wants to control from the top but Walker keeps moving. Green tries to stand but Walker is controlling from the bottom. Bobby Walker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Walker keeping full guard, as Green tries to pass.
And that's the end of the fight! Gordie Green showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Green, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
