Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keiji Mutou (ranked 659 p4p, 90 weight class) and Colin Kaepernick (ranked 904 p4p, 143 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mutou misses with a right hand
and Kaepernick counters with a straight right hand.
Kaepernick misses with a series of wild punches.
Kaepernick thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kaepernick avoids the body shot from Mutou.
Kaepernick swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Mutou tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kaepernick swivels and escapes.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mutou accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mutou is looking to work some ground and pound but Kaepernick has wrist control.
Keiji Mutou overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mutou tries to score with some ground and pound. Kaepernick controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Mutou goes for a double leg but Kaepernick avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kaepernick continues to drive forward.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mutou dives in and grabs Kaepernick's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kaepernick pushes down on Mutou's head and hops out.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Mutou throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kaepernick was covering up waiting for the punch and Mutou finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Well Mutou has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
