Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Parker (ranked 8419 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Roberts (ranked 5809 p4p, 660 weight class). Parker kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Eazy E - Only if you want it. Dan Roberts will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Parker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Roberts! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parker pushes Roberts up against the cage in a clinch. Parker has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Roberts uses from the top position. Parker is trying to control the position but Roberts postures up. Roberts trying to control but Parker is working from the bottom. Roberts throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Parker works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Roberts sitting in guard here, content to control. Parker on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Parker tries to get out of the position. Parker looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Roberts has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roberts is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Parker is working an open guard so Roberts takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Parker seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Roberts throws a series of punches but Parker moves out of range. Roberts takes the fight into the clinch. Parker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Roberts darts in and clinches Parker up against the cage. Roberts has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Roberts with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Roberts throws a right and a left that Parker avoids nicely. Parker throws a big counter combination but Roberts scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Roberts moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Dan Roberts is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Parker jabbing away but nothing is landing. Parker just misses with a punch to the body.

so Parker counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Roberts has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Parker off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Parker shoots in and bounces Roberts off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Parker's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Parker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Roberts is keeping the position for now. Parker gets to his feet - Roberts follows without any prompting. Excellent takedown into side control there by Parker. Roberts explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Roberts throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Roberts stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Roberts wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Parker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Parker is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Parker shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roberts as he jumps to the side. Roberts throws a series of punches but Parker avoids them all with ease. Roberts misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Dan Roberts dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Parker keeping moving, preventing Roberts from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker wants to get back to his feet but Roberts is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Roberts looking to sit in guard and control but Parker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Roberts trying to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker drops back, looking for a kneebar! Roberts looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Roberts looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Roberts! Roberts throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Roberts looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Roberts trying to control the action but Parker is working from the bottom. Parker is looking to regain half guard here but Roberts keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parker is working hard here to advance position. Roberts looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Roberts passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Parker! Roberts can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Parker is looking to escape. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Roberts is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Dan Roberts will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Parker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Parker doesn't succeed with the takedown and Roberts counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Oh Parker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Parker seems to have got his legs back now. Roberts lands a right hand that snaps the head of Parker backwards. Roberts has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Roberts tries to break the clinch but Parker is controlling the position. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Parker looking for a takedown. Roberts is trying to break free. Roberts is trying to break free. Parker is trying to drag Roberts to the mat but Roberts just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Roberts is trying to break free. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Parker tries to stall but Roberts uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Dan Roberts is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Parker just misses with a elbow thrown towards Roberts's brow.
And that's the end of the fight! Dan Roberts comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Roberts has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Dan Roberts! A relieved looking Dan Roberts thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. Josh Parker spoke after the fight, saying 'It was great to just get a chance to fight in the cage. You never lose you only learn. Now i will Train an train so that next time i get that win.'.
