Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Monroe Chen (ranked 24403 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastian Lacrox (ranked 6129 p4p, 0 weight class). Sebastian Lacrox told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy body kick from Lacrox
and Chen counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Chen wants to work for an arm triangle but Lacrox is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Chen is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Lacrox is trying to stand.
Chen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lacrox's head.

Chen is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chen throws a big counter combination but Lacrox scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Chen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lacrox avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

and Chen counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Chen.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Chen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Chen is breathing heavily.
Chen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lacrox is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lacrox has escaped and now he's on top!
Lacrox must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Chen working for submissions but it's allowed Lacrox to get to half guard.

Lacrox stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Chen to get to his feet.
Lacrox stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A low kick from Lacrox misses
and Chen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Chen manages to break the clinch.
Lacrox fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sebastian Lacrox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lacrox fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

and Chen counters with a takedown into side control.
Lacrox is trying to get back to his feet.
Chen taking a break here but Lacrox is having none of it and regains half guard.

Lacrox swats away the attempt to clinch by Chen.
The fight stays on the outside here - Chen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sebastian Lacrox dominated that round.

Lacrox throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Chen seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Lacrox lands a left and a right that send Chen crashing to the mat, dazed. Lacrox thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Chen is rocked!
It looks like Monroe Chen has been cut.
Chen looks to clinch
and Lacrox counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Chen out cold! What a finish! Lacrox is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
