1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kuzma Lesopoval! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesopoval closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Little quickly recovers to half guard. Little tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Lesopoval is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Little has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lesopoval is working away from the top position though. Little looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Little tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Little wants to control but Lesopoval is keeping busy and won't allow it. Little is doing well to avoid being mounted. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Little works his way to full guard. Good work. Little is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Little has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lesopoval gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Little's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lesopoval connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Little scrambles back to his feet.
It looks like Joan Little has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lesopoval clinches. Lesopoval wants to break free but Little has control.
Little swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Little fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Little tries to stall but Lesopoval uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Little gets caught flat footed, as Lesopoval shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Little has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Lesopoval has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Lesopoval lands a right hand that snaps the head of Little backwards. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lesopoval wants to get back to striking at distance but Little won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Little holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Lesopoval wants to break the clinch but can't.
Little could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Lesopoval misses with a knee strike.
Little stalling in the clinch.
Lesopoval is leaning against Little and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Little is breathing heavily. Little tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lesopoval smiles and moves away.
Little gets caught napping as Lesopoval dives in and scores a takedown. Little manages to retain guard. Lesopoval decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Lesopoval scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Little sneaks out the side door and pushes Lesopoval away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Lesopoval moves into the clinch successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesopoval lands a nice uppercut. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Lesopoval as Little tries to tie him up. Lesopoval wants to break free but Little has control.
The referee is keeping an eye on Lesopoval - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Little is rocked! Lesopoval dips a shoulder and cracks Little with a mighty uppercut! Little falls back against the cage and Lesopoval unloads with a barrage of strikes! Little is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Lesopoval screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kuzma Lesopoval! Kuzma Lesopoval took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
