Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maxxy Baby (ranked 259 p4p, 24 weight class) and Maxwell Booker (ranked 795 p4p, 84 weight class). Maxwell Booker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Maxxy Baby! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Maxwell Booker! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Booker walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Baby ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Booker moves away. Baby scores with a body shot.
Baby lands with a good body shot. Baby lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Booker on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Baby connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Booker takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

That's one minute gone in the round. Baby lands a head shot. Baby throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Booker drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Baby defends it well. Booker swings widly with a right hand
and Baby connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Baby scores with a jab to the body. Booker doesn't succeed with the takedown and Baby counters with a lovely straight right hand! Decent striking displayed by Baby there. Baby works Booker's body with a nice hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice shot lands for Baby. Baby is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Booker takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Baby throws an overhand right that lands on Booker's shoulder, as Booker tries to avoid the shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A jab from Baby does it's job there. Baby scores with a punch to the head. Booker fails with the takedown and Baby counters with a straight right hand. Baby is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice uppercut lands for Baby. That snapped Booker's head back.

Maxxy Baby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Baby misses with a hook. Booker ducked under it nicely. We've been told by Baby's head coaches at Gizmo's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Booker slips a jab from Baby. Nice shot lands for Baby. Booker's coach down at Gizmo's Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Booker's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Baby scores with a nice right hand.
Booker has his takedown stuffed and Baby counters with a nice uppercut.
Booker is rocked! Maxxy Baby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maxwell Booker.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Baby looks to land a left hand but Booker moved out of range nicely. Baby scores with a shot to the body.
Baby lands a slapping body shot.
Baby misses with a straight left. Baby looks to land a right hand but Booker moved out of range. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Baby bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Booker's head backwards. Baby dips down and scores with a jab to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Maxxy Baby dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Baby stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Booker doesn't succeed with the takedown and Baby counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Booker might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Baby has got the better of the exchanges. Baby lands a jab to Booker's midsection. Baby is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Booker can do to turn this around? Baby misses with a body shot
and Booker counters with a nice double leg into side control. Baby won't be happy with that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Booker tries for a kimura but Baby is defending well. Baby prevents Booker from improving position. You can see the frustration on Baby's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Booker tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Booker trying to control the position but Baby is working away. An elbow from Booker crashes against the mat.
Booker misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Booker working the ground and pound but Baby is defending the strikes. Booker is trying to get an arm triangle but Baby is defending well. Booker is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Baby is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Booker fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Booker trying to control the action but Baby is working from the bottom. Booker advances to full mount. Baby holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Booker tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Baby knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Booker on the ground. Booker postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Baby looks a forlorn figure.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Booker cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Booker is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Baby can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Baby is rocked! Booker is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Booker extends the arm and Baby is forced to tap!
