Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alfred Touchard (ranked 5406 p4p, 523 weight class) and Jerome Steel (ranked 8299 p4p, 670 weight class). Jerome Steel will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alfred Touchard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jerome Steel!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel scores with a jab.
Touchard misses the jab.
Steel let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Steel swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Donk. Steel catches Touchard right on the button with a cross.
Steel throws a right and a left that Touchard avoids nicely.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Steel enables Touchard to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Steel manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Touchard got a little sloppy there for a moment and Steel has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Touchard has managed to get both his arms back between Steel's legs - danger averted.
Steel is looking to stand up but Touchard isn't so interested in that idea.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Touchard passes into half guard.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Touchard looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Steel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Touchard is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Steel doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Touchard.
Touchard content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Touchard seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Steel does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Touchard is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Touchard might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Steel is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Touchard is controlling him.
Touchard slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Touchard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steel swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Touchard is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A big left from Steel misses.
Steel lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Touchard looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Touchard's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Steel connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Touchard scrambles back to his feet.
Steel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Touchard.
Touchard swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Steel has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.

Steel feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Touchard sprawling to the canvas! Touchard rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Steel finish him?!

Touchard is rocked!

It looks like Alfred Touchard has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Steel closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Touchard out cold! Touchard corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
