The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hicks instigates a clinch. Hicks works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Sampson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Hicks is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Hicks maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up!
