Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Benji Lootin (ranked 4454 p4p, 220 weight class) and Jose Pacheco (ranked 2382 p4p, 119 weight class). Benji Lootin is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Benji Lootin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jose Pacheco! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pacheco feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lootin is wriggling around but Pacheco manages to pass to half guard.
Lootin is trying to control but can't.
Lootin wants to improve his position but Pacheco is controlling well.
Pacheco is trying to work for a kimura but Lootin is defending well.
Lootin is looking for a sweep. Pacheco is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lootin is looking to control Pacheco's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lootin avoid being mounted? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pacheco seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Pacheco stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lootin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pacheco shoots and misses and Lootin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Lootin lands with a shot to the body. Pacheco has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Pacheco uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lootin. Pacheco fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Pacheco slips under a jab from Lootin. Lootin lunges at Pacheco with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Pacheco's hand. Lootin lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Lootin bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pacheco's head. Pacheco fails to land the takedown. Benji Lootin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Pacheco. Lootin stuffs the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lootin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Pacheco shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Lootin is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fighters circle momentarily. Lootin darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Pacheco has his takedown stuffed and Lootin makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Lootin lands with a nice combination. Pacheco backs away looking to recover.
Pacheco is rocked! Pacheco has a takedown stuffed. Lootin scores with the left hand. Pacheco knows he should have avoided that one. Pacheco doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lootin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Pacheco is still on wobbly legs! Can Lootin finish him?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lootin sizes up Pacheco with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Lootin throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Pacheco seems to have recovered his senses. Pacheco tries for a takedown but Lootin circles away easily and Lootin counters with a right hand to the body. Nice takedown defense from Lootin. No joy for Pacheco on that attempt. Good exchange - Lootin coming out on top. Lootin is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Pacheco shoots for a takedown but Lootin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lootin throwing a counter right hand but Pacheco manages to avoid it. Lootin gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pacheco to score an easy takedown into full guard. Pacheco looks winded! Lootin wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lootin is working hard here to advance position. Pacheco trying to control but Lootin is working from the bottom. Pacheco won't allow Lootin to sweep him here. Lootin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pacheco wants to control from the top but Lootin keeps moving. Pacheco stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lootin swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lootin keeping moving, preventing Pacheco from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Benji Lootin dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Pacheco shoots in but doesn't get the takedown The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. and Lootin counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Lootin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pacheco. Lootin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pacheco can do to turn this around? Lootin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Pacheco shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Lootin counters with a lovely straight right hand! Benji Lootin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Pacheco. Pacheco with a lazy takedown attempt and Pacheco takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pacheco. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A jab lands there for Lootin. Pacheco fails with the takedown letting Lootin counter with a right hand. Pacheco is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pacheco shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lootin as he avoids it easily. Lootin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Pacheco looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Lootin swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Pacheco gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lootin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Lootin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lootin wants it to stay on the feet. Pacheco misses with a takedown attempt and Lootin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Lootin cracks Pacheco with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Pacheco tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Lootin pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Pacheco is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Benji Lootin!
