6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carter Pewterschmidt! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pewterschmidt connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Machida thows a body shot but no joy. Pewterschmidt shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Pewterschmidt wants to control from the top but Machida keeps moving. Pewterschmidt looking to pass the guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pewterschmidt looking for a triangle here. Machida is fighting it but it looks tight! Pewterschmidt pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Machida is tapping out - this one is all over!
