Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Satoshi Tanahashi (ranked 1076 p4p, 163 weight class) and Levan Revazshvili (ranked 1121 p4p, 169 weight class). Tanahashi comes to the cage accompanied by Blood Stain Child - Stargazer. Revazshvili has chosen Georgia National Anthem as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

19 - 13 - 3, fighting out of New York, Levan Revazshvili! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanahashi delivers a nice body kick. Tanahashi connects with a single shot there. Revazshvili scores with a jab. Tanahashi acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Revazshvili checks a low kick from Tanahashi. Some wild striking there from Revazshvili.
Revazshvili takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Tanahashi scores with a kick to the midsection. Tanahashi knocks Revazshvili to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

Tanahashi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Revazshvili moves away. And Revazshvili tries to counter it with a takedown but Tanahashi pushes his down on his head and steps out. Some bone on bone action there as Revazshvili checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Revazshvili tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tanahashi was well out of range. Poor timing from Revazshvili. Tanahashi tries to land a front kick but Revazshvili steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Revazshvili misses with a jab to the body

Revazshvili changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Revazshvili looks to score with a jab to the body but Tanahashi is just out of range. Revazshvili chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tanahashi can pounce on him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tanahashi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Satoshi Tanahashi is winning the standup battle so far. Revazshvili gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Nice cross by Revazshvili. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Revazshvili drives through with a takedown into Tanahashi's guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Revazshvili chips away with some ground and pound. Tanahashi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Revazshvili defends well. Revazshvili wants to pass the guard but Tanahashi is keeping the position. Revazshvili got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tanahashi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Revazshvili has managed to get both his arms back between Tanahashi's legs - danger averted. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tanahashi is on top in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tanahashi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
