Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Christian Edge (ranked 507 p4p, 25 weight class) and Mini Stipe (ranked 807 p4p, 42 weight class). Edge kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is For Heavy Metal we will die!. Mini Stipe acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Christian Edge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mini Stipe! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stipe throws a nice inside leg kick. Edge tries to score with a low kick but Stipe moves his leg out of the way. Edge tries a head kick but it misses.
Edge is looking to chop away at Stipe's legs. Edge throws a head kick that Stipe semi-blocks.
Nice body kick there by Edge. Stipe throws a front kick that sends Edge stumbling back into the cage. Edge gets caught napping as Stipe dives in and scores a takedown. Edge manages to retain guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Edge looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stipe is one step ahead there. Edge trying to control the position.
Edge looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Stipe not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like Stipe might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Edge escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stipe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Edge being controlled here, momentarily. Edge lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Stipe has his foot on Edge's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Edge works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Edge lands a couple of elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stipe pulls Edge in close to his closed guard and prevents Edge from doing any damage or advancing position. Stipe wants to control but Edge passes easily into half guard.
Stipe is looking for a sweep. Edge is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Stipe is trying to maintain the position but Edge is very close to passing his half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edge misses with a head shot. Stipe uses the momentum to regain guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Stipe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Edge's guard. Stipe not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Edge has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stipe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Edge keeping moving, preventing Stipe from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stipe is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Edge has an active guard here but Stipe has managed to pass into half guard.
Edge wants to get back to full guard. Stipe working the head and body with strikes. Stipe perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Stipe drops an elbow to the side of Edge's head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Edge wants to improve his position but Stipe is controlling well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Stipe in particular looking to stall. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mini Stipe will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Edge throws a low kick but Stipe moves out of range easily. Stipe waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Edge. Edge throws a big counter combination but Stipe scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Edge lands with a kick to the ribs.
Stipe lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Edge cracks Stipe with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Stipe takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Stipe checks a low kick from Edge. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Edge lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Stipe has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Stipe and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Stipe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Edge stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Edge dives in and grabs Stipe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stipe pushes down on Edge's head and hops out. Stipe replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Edge blocks it well. Edge closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stipe circles away. The fighters circle momentarily. Stipe darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Nice takedown defense from Edge. No joy for Stipe on that attempt. Edge uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stipe has time to react. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Edge checks a leg kick. Edge ducks under a wild hook from Stipe. Stipe fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Edge throws a jab but it's blocked by Stipe. Stipe jabs Edge to the body, keeping him at a distance. Stipe with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Edge tries to land a body kick and Stipe counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Stipe is looking to take a break and control but Edge is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Edge looking for submissions off his back. Edge tries to roll over but Stipe keeps him under control. Stipe has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Stipe seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Edge is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
