Nicely done. Fisher pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Frye has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Frye persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Frye looks winded! Fisher trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Fisher throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frye got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fisher has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Frye has managed to get both his arms back between Fisher's legs - danger averted. Frye must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Fisher manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Frye manages to get himself to full guard.
Fisher working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fisher trying to stand up but can't free himself from Frye's guard. Fisher wants to stand and escape but instead Frye has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Fisher lands a good elbow from the bottom. Frye is posturing up here but Fisher has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Frye tries to roll out but it's too tight and Frye has to tap! Slick submission there by Fisher!
