Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ben Watson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennedy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hooper looking for a sweep. Not yet Hooper, not yet.
Kennedy working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hooper's head.
Kennedy throws a big elbow that misses.
Hooper escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kennedy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hooper is striking from the bottom but Kennedy uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kennedy drops an elbow to the side of Hooper's head.
Hooper is trying to stand up here but Kennedy is controlling him well.

Kennedy tries to stand and escape but Hooper is controlling the position.
Hooper is defending against the submission attempts here by Kennedy.
Hooper has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kennedy is working away from the top position though.
Hooper trying to get back to full guard but Kennedy takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kennedy lands a heavy elbow.
Kennedy fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
