Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Louie Dixon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leonard Gracie! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Dixon pushes Gracie off looking to stand but Gracie dives back in and keeps control.
Gracie thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Gracie is keen to just control but Dixon is a slippery customer. Gracie not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Gracie stalling away here and it's allowed Dixon to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Dixon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dixon is looking to stand up but Gracie isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. The fight moves into the clinch position. Dixon is trying to break free. Gracie tries to land knees in the clinch but Dixon avoids the damage to the body. Gracie is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dixon is looking to work some ground and pound but Gracie has wrist control. Gracie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dixon lands a couple of decent looking shots. Dixon really is a fat lump. Dixon is fighting to break Gracie's control of his arms but Gracie is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Dixon with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Dixon cracks Gracie with a solid left hand. Gracie is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Dixon rolls with it to try and escape but Gracie cranks on the arm and Dixon is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
