Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tsutomu Miyazaki (ranked 3422 p4p, 415 weight class) and Baron Shushkev (ranked 4224 p4p, 479 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Baron Shushkev was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tsutomu Miyazaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Baron Shushkev!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miyazaki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shushkev sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Shushkev ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Shushkev with the counter takedown but Miyazaki avoids it easily.
Shushkev staying out of range there.
Shushkev changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Miyazaki throws a right hand that misses
and Shushkev counters with a takedown into side control.
Miyazaki on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Miyazaki tries to get out of the position.
Shushkev thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Shushkev landing strikes.
Shushkev looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shushkev sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Miyazaki is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Shushkev has an Americana. Miyazaki didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Shushkev is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Shushkev hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Baron Shushkev!
Baron Shushkev very nearly forgot to thank Vikai Gear amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
