Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolokorin is looking to clinch.
Kolokorin fails with an attempt to clinch.
An attempted straight right counter from Langley misses the target.
Langley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Langley darts in looking for a takedown but Kolokorin gets double underhooks and turns Langley into the cage.
Langley backing away here, and Kolokorin unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Kolokorin connects with a crisp jab.


It looks like Lanny Langley has been cut.
Kolokorin changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Kolokorin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Langley.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lanny Langley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kolokorin shoots in for a takedown but Langley shows good takedown defense.
No luck for Langley with that takedown attempt.
Despite the aggression on Kolokorin's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kolokorin shoots in looking for a takedown but Langley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kolokorin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Langley throws a counter high kick but Kolokorin was just alert enough to avoid it.

Kolokorin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Langley has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Kolokorin is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Kolokorin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Langley uses from the top position.

Kolokorin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Langley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kolokorin wants to improve his position but instead Langley has moved into half guard.
Kolokorin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Langley is working away from the top position though.
Langley looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Langley lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Langley drives through and clinches with Kolokorin against the cage.

Langley pulls guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Langley has a closed guard, preventing Kolokorin from standing up.
Langley pulls Kolokorin in close to his closed guard and prevents Kolokorin from doing any damage or advancing position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Langley looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

That was a close round but I would say that Lanny Langley will probably get the nod.

That's time! Langley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Kolokorin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Langley was covering up waiting for the punch and Kolokorin finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Langley had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kolokorin defends it easily.

Kolokorin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Langley works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kolokorin wants to control from the top but Langley keeps moving.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Langley is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kolokorin is aware though and is defending well.

Langley has his foot on Kolokorin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kolokorin works his way back into a safe position though.
Kolokorin wants to control from the top but Langley keeps moving.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Kolokorin doesn't manage to clinch there - Langley circles away.
Langley keeps the fight on the outside.

Kolokorin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Langley is fending him off so far but Kolokorin persists. Nope, Langley circles away and we're back to standing.
Kolokorin shoots in looking for a takedown. Langley tries to sprawl out of it but Kolokorin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Langley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kolokorin lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

and Langley counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kolokorin thinking.

No luck for Kolokorin with that takedown attempt.
Lanny Langley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksandr Kolokorin.
Kolokorin is breathing heavily.
Kolokorin throws a head kick but Langley moves out of range.

Kolokorin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Langley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kolokorin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Langley wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Kolokorin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Langley is looking to stand up but Kolokorin isn't so interested in that idea.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kolokorin has a hand on Langley's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Langley takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Langley content just to control the position here.

Langley has hold of Kolokorin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kolokorin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Kolokorin manages to regain half guard. Good work.
