Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Princiotta (ranked 5338 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Hoskins (ranked 4013 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Alex Hoskins was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Matt Princiotta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Hoskins! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Princiotta on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Princiotta throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hoskins's waist but Hoskins gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Princiotta off to one side. Princiotta takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Hoskins lunges at Princiotta with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Princiotta's hand. Hoskins getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Princiotta takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Hoskins lands the left hand. Hoskins lands a jab to the nose. Princiotta is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Princiotta tries to clinch but Hoskins is having none of it. Princiotta takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Princiotta shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Princiotta was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Princiotta working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ground and pound from Princiotta seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Princiotta in side control, throwing shots but Hoskins defends. Princiotta tries for a kimura but Hoskins is defending well. Princiotta decides to stand back up. Princiotta steps back and let's Hoskins get back to his feet. Princiotta looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Hoskins lands the left hand. Alex Hoskins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hoskins clobbers Princiotta with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Princiotta gets the takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Princiotta postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Princiotta throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Check out the look on Princiotta's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Princiotta in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Princiotta has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Princiotta tries to advance to mount but Hoskins denies him. Princiotta is trying to get an arm triangle but Hoskins is defending well. Princiotta is breathing heavily. Princiotta looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Hoskins is avoiding damage well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoskins parries the strikes from Princiotta easily there. Princiotta is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hoskins to escape.
Princiotta throws an elbow but Hoskins slips to the side and avoids it well. Hoskins tries to improve position but can't. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hoskins can do anything to dispel that myth. Princiotta stands up and we're back to a striking position. Hoskins lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Hoskins bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Princiotta throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Princiotta walks into a straight right hand from Hoskins. Hoskins lands a body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoskins lands a lovely overhand right. Princiotta takes a jab right on the kisser.
Hoskins scores with a shot to the body.
Princiotta walks into a left hand.
Princiotta is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hoskins lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Princiotta up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Hoskins from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Princiotta's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alex Hoskins! An out of breath Alex Hoskins thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
