Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leopold Lacaille (ranked 7089 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne Kumar (ranked 7957 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leopold Lacaille! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wayne Kumar! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kumar manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lacaille on his heels. He'll look to pass Lacaille's guard now, I'm sure. Kumar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lacaille avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kumar slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Lacaille trying to keep a closed guard but Kumar is proving a slippery customer.
Kumar content to stall in guard here. Lacaille throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kumar controls from within his opponent's guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Kumar keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lacaille's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lacaille bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kumar's guard. Lacaille tries to free his leg and advance position but Kumar is retaining full guard. Lacaille slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Lacaille taking a breather here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lacaille is looking to take a break and control but Kumar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kumar isn't going anywhere. Kumar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lacaille. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lacaille stands up and we're back to a striking position. Nice defenses there by Lacaille. Lacaille rushes Kumar and presses him up against the cage. A nice glancing elbow lands by Lacaille.
It looks like Wayne Kumar has been cut. Kumar tries a body shot but Lacaille blocks it.
Lacaille is pressed up against the cage. Kumar has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lacaille down to the mat. Lacaille avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Lacaille takes the fight into the clinch. Kumar misses with a punch to the body.
Lacaille gets underhooks to prevent Kumar's takedown attempt.
Lacaille blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. A shot in the inside from Kumar. Lacaille comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lacaille lands a knee to the body.
Kumar looks winded! Lacaille landing knees to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lacaille lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Lacaille lands a damaging elbow.
That has opened up Wayne Kumar's cut even more. Lacaille lands a nice elbow. Kumar gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Kumar won't allow Lacaille to get back to his feet. Kumar wants to control from the top but Lacaille keeps moving. Lacaille is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lacaille working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kumar. Kumar scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Lacaille looking for a guillotine here but Kumar defends easily.
Lacaille can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kumar controls the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kumar's corner. There ya go! There ya go! In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kumar working his ground and pound in the gym. Kumar is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Lacaille is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kumar is controlling him. Kumar keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lacaille's head. Lacaille looking for a sweep. Not yet Lacaille, not yet. Kumar avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Leopold Lacaille dominated that round. The cut man is working on Wayne Kumar's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Lacaille enables Kumar to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lacaille manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Lacaille wants to stand but Kumar is controlling the position. Lacaille can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kumar controls the pace. Kumar postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Kumar stopping the sweep attempt from Lacaille. Lacaille is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kumar engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Kumar makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kumar is in close to Lacaille's body, working some short punches and elbows. Lacaille wants to sweep here but Kumar controlling him for the moment. Wayne Kumar has got the better of the ground game so far. Kumar scoring with punches to the head and body. Kumar sitting in guard, not really doing much. Lacaille is trying to keep Kumar in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lacaille has his foot on Kumar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kumar works his way back into a safe position though. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kumar's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Lacaille is trying to keep Kumar in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kumar closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lacaille quickly recovers to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lacaille is trying to stand up here but Kumar is controlling him well. Ground and pound from Kumar. Kumar keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Let's hope that Kumar has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Kumar working Lacaille over with strikes. Lacaille wants to get back to his feet. Lacaille makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lacaille. Kumar looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Kumar connects with a couple of short punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lacaille looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kumar is one step ahead there. Lacaille escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kumar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kumar looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Kumar passes easily into side control. Nice work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kumar working the head and body with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wayne Kumar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Wayne Kumar's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Lacaille leaves Kumar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. It appears Lacaille was looking to counter with a kick there. Leopold Lacaille is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lacaille has a takedown stuffed. Kumar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lacaille to the mat! Lacaille manages to get full guard. Kumar is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kumar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kumar postures up and lands a big shot to Lacaille's brow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kumar slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Lacaille is trying to control the position but Kumar postures up. Kumar working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Lacaille's head. Kumar stopping the sweep attempt from Lacaille. Kumar stays in close to Lacaille's body and controls the position. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Kumar. Kumar cracks Lacaille with a solid left hand. Lacaille keeping full guard, as Kumar tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kumar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Kumar postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kumar shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kumar showed some decent athleticism there. Kumar looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Lacaille is trying to get back to full guard. Kumar working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Lacaille is trying to control but Kumar manages to pass to mount!
Kumar lands a heavy elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lacaille taking shots to the head. Kumar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kumar cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Lacaille slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Kumar winds up and cracks Lacaille with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Kumar throwing shots but Lacaille is blocking nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kumar is controlling the pace.
Lacaille wants to get back to full guard. Still in half guard, Kumar seems content to control. The fighters are battling for position here. Lacaille manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Kumar distracts Lacaille with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Kumar postures up and lands a big shot to Lacaille's brow. Kumar is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lacaille working a defensive guard here.
Lacaille wants to sweep here but Kumar controlling him for the moment. Lacaille looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that's the end of the fight! Wayne Kumar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kumar has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
