Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mateusz Biernat (ranked 3407 p4p, 310 weight class) and Zeke Rage (ranked 8879 p4p, 553 weight class). Biernat kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Someday. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biernat connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rage momentarily.
It looks like Zeke Rage has been cut.
Biernat tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Biernat misses the jab.
A nice leg kick lands there from Rage.
Rage lands a leg kick that knocks Biernat off balance momentarily.

Biernat throws a left that rocks Rage and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Biernat dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Rage regain composure!

Rage pushes Biernat away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Biernat gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Rage is still in real trouble! Can Biernat finish him?
Biernat decides to stand up, so the ref orders Rage to his feet.

Biernat misses with a jab to the body
and Rage counters with a head kick. That will keep Biernat thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Rage throws out a leg kick but Biernat moves out of range and Rage only half commits.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Biernat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Biernat stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rage.
Rage connects with a leg kick. Biernat looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Biernat has cracked Rage with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Biernat lands another huge swinging hook and Rage tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Rage, before Biernat can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mateusz Biernat!
A relieved looking Mateusz Biernat thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
