Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cortez Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henri Hobbin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hobbin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Fight Music kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hobbin tries to clinch but Logan is having none of it. Logan lands a jab to the nose. Hobbin moves into the clinch successfully.
Hobbin is trying to break free. Logan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hobbin is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hobbin has Logan up against the cage in a clinch.
Logan successfully pulls guard.
Hobbin trying to control but Logan is working from the bottom. Hobbin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Logan is keeping the position for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hobbin won't allow Logan to sweep him here. Hobbin lands a couple of elbows. Hobbin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Logan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Hobbin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Logan has him pressed against the cage. Logan keeps control of Hobbin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hobbin manages to break the clinch.
Logan shoots in looking for a takedown. Hobbin tries to sprawl out of it but Logan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hobbin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Hobbin tries for a takedown but Logan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Logan looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hobbin! Hobbin looks gassed! Hobbin is squirming around, avoiding Logan's attempts to control the action. Hobbin is looking to improve his position but Logan isn't that keen on the idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Logan swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hobbin is now in Logan's guard. A big mistake from Logan there, giving up the dominant position! Logan working a defensive guard here.
Hobbin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hobbin tries to free his leg and advance position but Logan is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hobbin stands up and waves to Logan to follow him. Logan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hobbin circles away. Hobbin moves in looking to clinch but Logan pushes him off. Hobbin moves into the clinch. Hobbin breaks the clinch.

Nice body kick there by Hobbin. Hobbin has managed to clinch.
Hobbin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Logan backwards. Hobbin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hobbin clinches up against the cage. Hobbin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Logan avoids the head kick by Hobbin.

Logan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hobbin swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hobbin moves out of range of the strikes. Hobbin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hobbin stands up over Logan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Logan working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hobbin trying to control but Logan is working from the bottom. Logan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Hobbin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Logan has control of Hobbin's left arm, preventing Hobbin from doing any damage. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hobbin closes the distance looking to clinch and Logan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hobbin throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Hobbin wants to control but Logan is keeping busy and won't allow it. Hobbin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Logan trying to control the action but Hobbin is working from the bottom. Logan is looking to advance position but Hobbin won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hobbin is refusing to be controlled, as Logan sits in half guard. Logan prevents Hobbin from improving his position. Logan tries to pass to full mount but Hobbin defends it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hobbin tries to close the distance and clinch but Logan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Cortez Logan will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

The fight stays on the outside here - Logan looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hobbin has a takedown stuffed. Logan tries to clinch and Hobbin counters with a good low kick that Logan was not able to check. Hobbin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hobbin tries to clinch but Logan is having none of it. Hobbin wants to clinch and Logan makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Logan gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hobbin keeps control of Logan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hobbin wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hobbin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Logan has had enough of the clinch but Hobbin keeps him there for the moment. Logan lands a left hand that snaps the head of Hobbin backwards. Logan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hobbin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Logan is fending him off so far but Hobbin persists. Nope, Logan circles away and we're back to standing. Cortez Logan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henri Hobbin. Logan throws a leg kick but Hobbin sees it coming and moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hobbin tries to clinch and Logan counters with a takedown into side control. Logan gets to mount! Hobbin was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Hobbin tries to hold on but Logan postures up. Hobbin is desperately trying to improve his position but Logan has a good base and remains in mount. Logan controlling from mount. Hobbin tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hobbin has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Logan's lack of action.
