And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fernando Alves!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves missing with a left hand there. Reeves was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Reeves wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Reeves misses with a wild combination.

Alves gets a double leg takedown into Reeves's guard.
Alves wants to control from the top but Reeves keeps moving.
Alves loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Reeves will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alves stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reeves swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Reeves displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Alves throws out the jab.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Reeves seems keen to control Alves's posture.
