Faustin circles away from the clinch attempt.

Faustin tries to free his leg and advance position but Rodriguez is retaining full guard.

Faustin postures up in Rodriguez's guard and throws a big left but Rodriguez blocks it.

Faustin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rodriguez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Rodriguez turns into Faustin and is now in his guard.

Rodriguez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Faustin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Faustin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Faustin drops back looking for a leg! Rodriguez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rodriguez manages to kick Faustin off! Faustin jumps back into Rodriguez's guard.
Faustin stands and steps away. Rodriguez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Faustin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rodriguez's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rodriguez wants to improve his position but Faustin is controlling well.

Despite being in the dominant position, Dominic Faustin just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Faustin tries a head kick but it misses.
Rodriguez misses with a two punch combination.

Faustin sneaks out the side door and pushes Rodriguez away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Rodriguez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Faustin is staying tight to Rodriguez's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Rodriguez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rodriguez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Faustin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dominic Faustin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
