Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aidan Sumerod (ranked 2307 p4p, 288 weight class) and Klas Horn (ranked 1699 p4p, 227 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Aidan Sumerod!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Klas Horn!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sumerod slips under a jab.
Horn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A slow jab from Horn misses its intended target.
Sumerod tries for a takedown but Horn sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Horn dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Horn has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Sumerod misses with a takedown attempt - Horn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sumerod tries to score a power double leg takedown but Horn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sumerod somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aidan Sumerod. That's going to take a lot out of him.

enabling Horn to counter with a crisp jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Horn counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Horn feints and then cracks Sumerod's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sumerod down.

Sumerod gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Horn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sumerod has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Horn.
Sumerod is breathing heavily.
Horn lands a slapping body shot.

Horn waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Sumerod. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Sumerod to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Sumerod is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sumerod has momentary wrist control but Horn slips an elbow through the middle.
Oh Sumerod is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Horn gets to his feet and stands over Sumerod, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Sumerod felt that one! Horn unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Sumerod from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Klas Horn!
During a confident post fight interview, Klas Horn thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
