PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Inspectah Deck (ranked 401 p4p, 12 weight class) and Mase Force (ranked 637 p4p, 13 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Inspectah Deck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mase Force!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Force tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Deck was well out of range. Poor timing from Force.
Deck throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A head kick misses from Deck.
Deck turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
The fighters circling - Force throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Deck moves away from the strike by Force.
Force with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Good leg kick by Deck there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Force lands a body shot.
Force looks to land a left hand but Deck moved out of range nicely.
Deck tries a head kick but it misses.
Force fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Deck on the side of the head.
Deck throws a leg kick but Force checks it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Deck connects with a leg kick. Force looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Deck's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Force connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Deck scrambles back to his feet.

Inspectah Deck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Force ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Deck moves away.
Deck looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Deck tried to counter with a leg kick but Force avoided it.
Force lands with a straight right. Deck didn't see that one coming.

Deck lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Nice straight punches there by Deck. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Deck.
Deck displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Force throws out the jab.

Force drops his hands momentarily and Deck takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Deck throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Inspectah Deck will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Force has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

Force seems to have recovered his senses.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Force might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Deck has got the better of the exchanges.
