Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gerry Zimmerman (ranked 7164 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Cook (ranked 6184 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gerry Zimmerman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jackson Cook! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cook shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Zimmerman's guard. Cook must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Zimmerman has his hands on Cook's head, controlling the position. Cook throws a big elbow that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cook slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zimmerman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Cook stays in close to Zimmerman's body and controls the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Cook throws a strike but Zimmerman rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Zimmerman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zimmerman looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Zimmerman trying to control the position from guard on top but Cook is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Zimmerman won't allow Cook to sweep him here. Zimmerman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Cook looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zimmerman is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Zimmerman showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Zimmerman is looking to clinch but Cook is avoiding it.
Cook swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Zimmerman darts in and clinches Cook up against the cage. Zimmerman has a couple of punches blocked by Cook.
Zimmerman's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Zimmerman drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cook pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zimmerman gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Cook is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Cook pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zimmerman is keeping the position for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Zimmerman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cook works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cook pulls Zimmerman in close to prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jackson Cook will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Cook keeps the fight on the outside. The crowd cheers as Cook lands an impressive looking overhand right. Zimmerman doesn't seem phased though.
Zimmerman is rocked!
It looks like Gerry Zimmerman has been cut. Zimmerman tries to clinch up and Cook counters with a big left hand that crumples Zimmerman! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jackson Cook!
