Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wallace Cobb (ranked 5047 p4p, 541 weight class) and Gaultier Girard (ranked 4126 p4p, 468 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cobb misses with a right hand
and Girard counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Girard connects with an inside leg kick.
Girard has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Cobb is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Cobb rushes Girard and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Cobb breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cobb throws a right and a left that both miss.
Girard lands a nice hook to Cobb's body. Cobb takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Sloppy strikes from Cobb. Those never looked like landing.
Girard slips a jab and a cross from Cobb.
A nice leg kick lands there from Girard.
Cobb tries to clinch but Girard is having none of it.
Girard appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cobb will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Girard misses with a short punch on the inside.

Cobb blocks an uppercut.
Girard tries to break the clinch but Cobb is controlling the position.
Girard can't find room to land a body shot as Cobb controls the action.
Still in the clinch, Cobb scores with a nice short uppercut.
Girard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Girard throws a nice outside leg kick.
Cobb loads up on a big right hand but Girard slips the punch.
Girard feints and then cracks Cobb's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cobb down.
Girard throws a leg kick which misses Cobb's front leg but catches the back leg as Cobb tries to avoid it.
Girard avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cobb fails in his attempt to clinch.
Girard uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cobb.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Girard - that will leave a mark!
Cobb rushes Girard and presses him up against the cage.
Girard misses with the head strike.
Cobb lands with a right to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cobb fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Girard, pushing him back against the cage.
Girard misses with some punches.
Girard tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Cobb's elbow.

Girard goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Cobb seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Cobb doesn't manage to clinch there - Girard circles away.
Girard connects with a nice looking jab.
Cobb tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Girard manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cobb. Girard does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cobb throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Cobb falls off balance throwing a combination
and Cobb takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cobb takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Girard lands a head shot.
Girard lunges at Cobb with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Cobb's hand.
Cobb throws a hook to the side of Girard's head but Girard sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Cobb tries to close the distance and clinch up but Girard swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cobb misses with an uppercut.
Cobb tries to clinch up but Girard circles away and keeps his distance.
Cobb lands a big uppercut and Girard crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Girard looks OK. Cobb waves Girard back to his feet!
Girard is rocked!
It looks like Gaultier Girard has been cut.

Cobb measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Girard! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
