Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sylvester Ritter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Project Joshua! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joshua misses with a lunging right hand
and Joshua takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Project Joshua has been cut. Joshua shoots in for a takedown but Ritter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Joshua throws a right hand that Ritter ducks under and follows up with a left that Ritter also avoids with ease. Ritter throws a big counter combination but Joshua scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Ritter scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Ritter lunges at Joshua with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Joshua's hand. Ritter ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Ritter jabs Joshua to the body, keeping him at a distance. Joshua gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Joshua on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Joshua looks winded! Joshua walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Ritter! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sylvester Ritter! An out of breath Sylvester Ritter thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
