Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mees Metsast!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rahkim Abdullah!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Abdullah instigates a clinch.
Metsast tries to land knees in the clinch but Abdullah avoids the damage to the body.
Metsast misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Abdullah.
Metsast lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Abdullah swings wildly with an uppercut but Metsast uses good head movement to avoid it.
Metsast swings away with an uppercut that misses.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Abdullah creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Abdullah is trying to pull guard but Metsast turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Metsast unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Metsast tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Metsast misses with a hook to the ribs.
Metsast looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Abdullah pulls guard.
Metsast trying to control but Abdullah is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Metsast postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Abdullah controls Metsast momentarily but Metsast frees himself.
Metsast engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Abdullah preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Abdullah utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Abdullah is trying to control the position but Metsast postures up.
Our spies down at at Midnight MMA inform us that Abdullah has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Abdullah is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Metsast is looking for a sweep. Abdullah is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Abdullah seems to be working for a kimura but Metsast defends the submission attempt.
Metsast has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Abdullah is working away from the top position though.

Abdullah is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Metsast has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Abdullah looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Metsast is defending well. Abdullah quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Metsast has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Abdullah celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
