Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stephan Letter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Corcoran Malone!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malone throws a head kick but Letter moves out of range.
It looked like Letter wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Stephan Letter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Malone falls off balance throwing a combination
and Letter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Malone slips under a jab.
Letter misses with a looping right.
Letter takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Malone moves away from the strike by Letter.
Letter blocks a jab.
Malone moves away from the strike by Letter.
Malone fails to land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Letter connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Malone momentarily.
Malone swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Malone moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Malone scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Letter definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Malone throws a lazy uppercut
and Letter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Letter keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Malone.
A little feinted left hand from Letter on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Letter misses with a wild body shot.
The fighters circling - Letter throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Malone appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Malone takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Letter throws a looping overhand right but Malone ducks down to avoid it.
Malone slips a jab and a cross from Letter.
Letter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Malone manages to avoid it.
Letter throws a series of punches but Malone moves out of range.
Malone scores with a hook to the body. Letter takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Malone keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Letter misses with a looping left.
Malone moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Letter looks to land a combination but Malone avoids it well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malone throws a body shot but no joy.
Letter was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Malone has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Malone there as he acknowledges the shot.
Malone misses the shot to the body.
Letter looks to score with a jab to the body but Malone is just out of range.
Malone ducks under a wild hook from Letter.
A countering left hand to the body from Malone misses.
Malone just misses with a punch to the body.
Malone scores with a three punch combo!
Malone misses with a lunging right hand
and Letter counters with a nice uppercut.
Malone throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Letter cracks a nice hook into Malone's ribs.
Malone changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Letter lands a big uppercut and Malone crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Malone looks OK. Letter waves Malone back to his feet!
Malone is rocked!
A combination from Letter does no damage.
Malone is still on wobbly legs! Can Letter finish him?

Letter cracks Malone with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Malone tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Letter pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Malone is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stephan Letter!
Stephan Letter seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
