Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Garcia (ranked 4002 p4p, 389 weight class) and Olegar Gavira (ranked 2724 p4p, 269 weight class). Gavira is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Wicked & Tun. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia moves out of range of the strikes.
Gavira bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Garcia's head backwards.
Nice sprawl there from Garcia as Gavira shoots in.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gavira has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Gavira shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Garcia manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Garcia is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gavira is aware though and is defending well.

Garcia isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gavira stacks Garcia on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gavira!
