Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mark Oswald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Diol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carl Diol is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Oswald! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Diol! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oswald misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Oswald is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Oswald scores with a three punch combo!
Oswald throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Nice sprawl there from Oswald as Diol shoots in. Oswald changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Oswald tries to close the distance and clinch but Diol swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Oswald tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Diol looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Oswald is fending him off so far but Diol persists. Nope, Oswald circles away and we're back to standing. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Oswald.
Diol shoots for a double leg takedown but Oswald sprawls well. He's pushed Diol's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Mark Oswald has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carl Diol. Diol shoots in but Oswald avoids the takedown attempt easily. Oswald throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oswald clinches. Diol is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Oswald gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Oswald breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nice takedown defense from Oswald. No joy for Diol on that attempt. Oswald throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Oswald tries to close the distance and clinch but Diol swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Oswald fails with an attempt to clinch.

Diol shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Oswald as he jumps to the side. Diol changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Oswald tries to avoid it but Diol manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Oswald to the ground. Oswald escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Diol takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Oswald connects with a single shot there. Diol tries for a takedown but Oswald sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A nice inside leg kick there by Oswald. That's going to slow Diol down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A combination from Oswald does no damage. Oswald tries to clinch but Diol moves out of range. Diol shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Oswald really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Oswald tries to clinch but Diol moves out of range. Diol avoids a kick to the body.
Oswald moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Diol is trying desperately to land a takedown but Oswald is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Diol. Diol shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Oswald but Oswald pushes him off and we're back to square one. Horrible takedown by Diol or perhaps it was just good defense by Oswald which made him look bad. Oswald scores with a decent looking hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oswald keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Oswald lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Diol circles away quickly and effectively. Diol fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A right-left combo lands from Oswald. Diol uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Oswald.

Oswald pushes Diol up against the cage in a clinch. Oswald escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Oswald manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. A short left from Oswald. Oswald breaks the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Diol throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Oswald's waist but Oswald gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diol off to one side. Oswald is looking to clinch but Diol is avoiding it.
Diol takes one on the button. Oswald tries to clinch up. Oswald gets caught flat footed, as Diol shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Oswald keeping full guard, as Diol tries to pass. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Diol prevents Oswald from getting back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Diol closes this distance looking for a takedown but Oswald circles away. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mark Oswald. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Oswald, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
