Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brad Robertson (ranked 8733 p4p, 700 weight class) and Scott Strait (ranked 24016 p4p, 785 weight class). Robertson comes into the arena with The White Buffalo & The Forest Rangers – Come Join the Murder blaring out of the sound system. Strait is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Feel So Numb. Scott Strait has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Brad Robertson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brad Robertson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Strait!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Strait closes the distance and pushes Robertson back into the cage.
Robertson has Strait pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Strait manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Strait is working for takedown but Robertson is calmly controlling the position for now.

Robertson is trying to trip Strait. He has hold of a leg but Strait is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Robertson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Strait has a closed guard, preventing Robertson from standing up.

Strait is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Robertson defends well.

Strait working for a triangle but Robertson defends it easily.

Strait has his foot on Robertson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Robertson works his way back into a safe position though.
Strait looking to hit a scissor sweep but Robertson is one step ahead there.
Strait not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Robertson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Robertson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Strait on the ground.

Strait looking for a guillotine here but Robertson defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Robertson wants to stand but Strait has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Strait has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Robertson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Robertson closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Strait out cold! Strait corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Brad Robertson!
Brad Robertson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
