The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Watson and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruane closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bapp to the mat! Bapp manages to get full guard.
Ruane stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Ruane defending well as Bapp loads up on a big left hand.
A swing and a miss from Bapp.
Nice jab there from Bapp.
Ruane on the wrong end of a nice jab.
A punch combination from Ruane misses.
Bapp dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ruane is breathing heavily.
Ruane slips a straight right by Bapp.
Ruane has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bapp finds it's way round the side to connect with Ruane's head.

and Ruane moves into the clinch.

Bapp stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ruane swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bapp swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ruane.

Bapp throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Bapp has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Bapp jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ruane is rocked!
Ruane takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Oh Ruane is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bapp misses with a wild body shot.
Good exchange - Bapp coming out on top.
Ruane on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Bapp is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bapp throws a jab but it's blocked by Ruane.

Bapp throws a body shot but no joy.
Bapp fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ruane on the side of the head.
Ruane on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Bapp misses with an uppercut.
Bapp scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Ruane seems to have got his legs back now.
Scotty Bapp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ruane drops his hands momentarily and Bapp takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Bapp misses the shot to the body.
Ruane moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A cross from Bapp lands.
Bapp tests Ruane's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bapp throws a jab but it's blocked by Ruane.
Bapp misses the jab.
Bapp lands an overhand right.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scotty Bapp dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Ruane goes for a double leg but Bapp avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bapp continues to drive forward.
Ruane slips under a jab from Bapp.
A jab from Bapp finds it's way through Ruane's defenses.
Ruane looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Bapp swings for the body but Ruane moves out of range.

Bapp uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Bapp lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bapp scores with a sloppy right hand. Ruane should have avoided that one.
Bapp moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Bapp has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Bapp stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Bapp is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bapp. Ruane does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bapp drops Ruane with a naaaaasty hook - Ruane is in real trouble here! Bapp dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
